Don Plunkett Co-founder of CADMAC Don is seen here in 1961, adjusting his Wakefield at Chobham Common. In the background is a Matchless Twin sidecar outfit. Don, together with Don Burgess founded CADMAC in March 1960. The first Thursday Club Night was held at Hazelwick School. Other flying sites were Forge Farm and The Grattons. Don was the Crawley Chief Librarian, so as well as stocking the reference room with the Aeromodeller, his contacts with Crawley Council and other dignitaries smoothed the way to a successful start for CADMAC. |
